Photo Sharing Sites

Photo sharing sites are all the rage these days. We'll mention two of the most popular websites photo enthusiasts are using and compare them a little for you. As always, we recommend that you use our site as a means to help you find what you're looking for. Don't worry - you'll find more photo sharing web sites than you can shake two sticks at. Finding the best ones, though, is a matter of looking for a site that fits your personality. Hey, if sites are free, you can feel free to use more than one of them! (As long as you don't mind the long time it may take to upload all your photos, of course.)

Flickr is one of the most popular photo share sites. One of the biggest reasons is that it's free (although you may decide to pay a little money for some bonus features). With Flickr, it's easy to show off your favorite photos to the world while showing a few photos secretly to a certain friend on the side. You can "blog" your photos by putting instant captions and descriptions online along with your pictures. Flickr promises that your photos will be shared only according to your preferences. Other people will be able to make comments regarding your photos. If you have a cell phone that takes pictures (a cameraphone), you can upload photos instantly to Flickr so you don't lose them.

At Yahoo! Photos , you can sign in using your Yahoo! ID and do all kinds of fun things. You can buy photo prints for very low prices, share photos with friends and family members (or even with the general public), chat in real time about your photos with other people, and see and talk about friends' photos online.
